Terms of Service

Who can use byword

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use byword for a business, you confirm that you have authority to act for that business.

How the service works

byword uses public Product and Store information to prepare and share Match Cards. A Match Card is a starting point. byword does not promise retailer interest, replies, orders, or sales.

Your content

You keep ownership of content that you provide. You give byword a nonexclusive right to host, process, format, and display that content only as needed to provide the service. You confirm that you have the rights needed to provide the content and to make any Match Card public.

byword owns its software, design, and brand. These Terms do not give you ownership of them.

Retailer relationships

byword is not a marketplace, sales agent, or party to an order. Buyers and sellers manage orders, payment terms, fulfillment, returns, and disputes outside byword.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the service for unlawful, deceptive, or harmful activity;
• upload content that you do not have permission to use;
• misrepresent your identity or business;
• try to access a private system without permission;
• interfere with the service; or
• copy, sell, or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law.

Service availability

byword is an early-stage service. Features can change, pause, or end. We can limit or suspend access to protect users, the service, or legal requirements. We will use reasonable care, but we do not promise that the service will always be available or error-free.

Third-party services

The service can link to or use third-party services, including public Store sites. Their own terms and privacy practices apply.

Ending access

You can stop using byword at any time. Contact us to close your account or report a Match Card that should no longer be public. Some security and legal records can remain when required.

Texas law

Texas law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Applicable consumer rights and other rights required by law still apply.

Changes and contact

We can update these Terms as the service changes. We will change the date at the top of this page and give additional notice when required. Questions about these Terms can go to hello@byword.club.
